Sweet potato noodle soup authentic Japanese way

The dish that made me feel so proud about myself. Sweet potato noodle soup prepared in authentic Japanese way, from the scratch. I really felt like a 5 ⭐️ chef 👩‍🍳 today . Such a comforting food for a gloomy cold day. Finally the art of assembling was so satisfying and then diving to the soup bowl 🍲  I used chopsticks 🥢 to maintain the authentic Japanese way 🥰 Topped with fish filets pan roasted 🐟  #sweetpotatonoodlessoup The ingredient list would be a little overwhelming as everything is made from scratch, but these are worth to be stocked as these are base for most of any Asian cuisine. I prepared a veggie stock, some of my favourite veggies blanched and fish as topping. So let’s start prepping the ingredients for our noodle soup.  Noodles   I used sweet potato noodles - 70 gms which when cooked would be around 3/4 to 1 cup Water for boiling - 3 cups  Veggies   Cut the veggies julienned  I used radish, onion, spring onion, celery, g

What I eat in a day series !

Another what I ate in a day! Started with 6 almonds, post workout drink, mulled dhalia with fruits, chili, chicken drumsticks and 1/4 cup brown rice for lunch and 1 guava and lassi homemade for dinner. I am doing an intuitive eating now. As lunch was bit heavy than usual I kept my dinner light, wit fruits and yogurt alone. #whatieatinaday Dinner : Lassi with coconut sugar and elachi or cardamom and guava  Broken wheat in apple dates all spice cake flavor for breakfast  and black coffee sugarless  Post workout protein shake with flax seeds, soy milk and protein powder  Add caption Add caption

Grocery haul story of a food blogger 😋

My new grocery store. First online order and should say satisfaction level is average. In context of freshnessi will give a 4 star ⭐️ on 5. But became average as some of items were out of stock and came to know while they delivered. Also slot timings was a bit shaky than my old grocery partner. Should try more and see how it goes. I thought to switch the grocery shop as lately my ever time favorite bigbasket was not keeping well with their quality and quantity. I have seen few instances of quantity mismatches and also quality is fruits and veggies going down. Will find anyways who is better and stick on to it. I would say one thing that for packaged goods you can still go with bigbasket as the discounts are better there. I liked the wide variety of breads in nature’s basket though and also meat items which apparently was out of stock but more options were available. Also the delivery boy mentioned that I can directly place orders with store calling customer care and delivery

Sweet potato noodles: You Ji Shi Pin 😁

I got this from a nearby store and was very impressed to see world cuisine ingredients being so popular in India. This shows how much we Indians respect  other traditions and world culinary. We are always experimental about variety of things and eager to learn and try new things. Our taste buds are also so receptive to new flavors. Another thing I noticed is this is imported and marketed from my home land Kerala and also the store was a Malayali owned one. We mallus are so famous on our skills to adjust with variety. The saying is so popular! “lokath evide chenalum oru malayali ye engilum kanan patum “ ; Translation: “you can find atleast a malayali where ever you go around the world “ 😂 Being a food blogger or rather I should say “food being my religion “. , i love to experiment different cuisines and try to make myself to see how it turns out.  This is next in my kitchen lab test list 😁 I love to even travel to places to eat the real authentic dishes of a particular p

Cottage cheese vegetable Chili

Any of my friends & family familiar with this dish? Why I am asking so because I came to know such a dish exists in such a name very recently; exactly 1 week ago. They are called CHILIS 😱 I was thinking very high of myself that I would be knowing the world cuisines at least by their name, but no I have way to go! So chilia per the youtuber is a comfort food for the fall time, when weather gets colder. So it’s not fall in Bangalore but atleast the weather is getting colder here too which made me decide to make my first chili during this time. Of course what else is comforting on these cold days than a bowl of heart warming spicy curry soup 🍲  So chilly resembles a Indian curry marries with a soup. It’s so versatile that you can make spicy red colored ones or white ones which gets the hotness from pepper or green chillies. A classic chili masala has paprika powder, cumin , turmeric as common: but I made my chili a little Indianish by adding coriander powder, p
