Cooking experiments on my business trip!

I m realizing the fact that food blogging cannot be a side business at all. This space was deserted for past 3 months, I being held up with multiple things at work and home. But my passion always drags me back here and I was so much missing this space. Being long time away from this place had made me lazy too, but today I thought to break from my hibernation and put up something here. I am just checking how many recipes are in pipeline to finish. Yeah there are a lot. But here I am starting with my business trip time cooking experience. My small kitchen and the minimal ingredients Dinner is ready Happy Chef :) Different from my last trip, this time I got my company of food lovers and that added up on my decision to cook myself. And of course the groceries in US always entice me. I can hold on my dress or shoes shopping there, but when I m in grocery section, ohhh I cannot explain how excited and I will get carried away in the role of a chef. I still remember my friends d...

Green Salad

I am catching up my healthy eating back this week, as the past 2 weeks were not so healthy, literally was eating out all the junks, donuts, mousse, milk shakes, ice creams, steaks... Oh my god the list never ends. I think I ate for a lifetime the past weeks. So this week was supposed to be that break week, to retain back my healthy cooking and eating of course, and a big order was placed in Big basket, my favorite store. As you guys would know by now, I am trying out salads every weekend as it was a big hit among my friends. I think this is influenced by a YouTube video on healthy foods, on how they can keep you feel full and with less calories. If you want to view that video here is this link : Free foods. So greens are one among the first free foods which has enough nutrients but has negligible calories. So I grabbed a bunch of veggies and also ma...

Fruity Salad - with Apple, Fig, Walnut and Honey

As you guys know, salads are one among my latest research dishes and most of them were veggie/meat bowls, I discovered as the main course for lunch. I came to know from my friends that they loved those recipes and was a big hit at their homes.Coming into the factor that salad being the main course, it may feel a little awkward first time, but you don't know a salad can be so satisfying, filling and healthy alternative to many other main courses. So if you are on a diet and your appetite is more, grab a salad bowl which can help you keeping full for a longer time. So coming back to this recipe, this was my trial for a fruity bowl, which of course is not my main course, but an appetite breaker and if you feel to just munch over, and not to add more calories. Apple is really a fat burner as many of you know, so I made it the base or the critical guy for this mission, and of course, fig is such a fruit well known for it nutrition and the soft supple fruit is really good to bite ov...
