Grocery haul story of a food blogger 😋

My new grocery store. First online order and should say satisfaction level is average. In context of freshnessi will give a 4 star ⭐️ on 5. But became average as some of items were out of stock and came to know while they delivered. Also slot timings was a bit shaky than my old grocery partner.
Should try more and see how it goes.
I thought to switch the grocery shop as lately my ever time favorite bigbasket was not keeping well with their quality and quantity. I have seen few instances of quantity mismatches and also quality is fruits and veggies going down. Will find anyways who is better and stick on to it. I would say one thing that for packaged goods you can still go with bigbasket as the discounts are better there.

I liked the wide variety of breads in nature’s basket though and also meat items which apparently was out of stock but more options were available. Also the delivery boy mentioned that I can directly place orders with store calling customer care and delivery charges would be nil then. Also it helps to get real stock picture.

Grilled Chicken in Quinoa Tortilla wrap

Healthy meal preparation is so satisfying, as we know we are feeding our loved ones with clean food. When I say clean food it does mean, non processed, with balanced nutrients, and not in expense of the taste. These healthy tortilla wraps are so yummy that you will not even imagine it has so many hidden good stuffs in it. I am like my mom, she is too smart to hide the good stuffs in whatever she prepares and we will not even know what we just ate had something which we hate if given in its form. Now I have acquired that smartness too and just few days back I prepared an Avocado Mango smoothie for one of my colleague and she told, "I hate Avocados! My mom would be surprised if she comes to know that I had Avocado. But how yummy your smoothie is ! " I was glad that I could make someone eat a healthy thing which they hated ever, and my hiding skills worked out.  The same lady was fooled by my papaya halwa, she is a papaya hater too :P Fooling people is good som...

Bionico - Mexican Fruit Dessert

I was looking for a dessert which is simple and healthy for today and what came to my mind was Parfait. But the day was Mexican themed and I didn't want to deviate for the dessert part and spoil my theme plan ;) I was looking for similar desserts of Mexican origin, coz I wanted an easy healthy option and has base ingredients which I already have at home.  My search for the recipe ended in this great dessert from Mexico, The Fruit Bionico, which resembles parfait in many ingredients, just some difference in some of them. And I found an interesting factor in it and that strengthened my decision to go on with this. Yes, that is nothing but, our own freshly grated coconut :P Bionico is on sweeter side when compared to Parfait because of its sweetner condensed milk. I had my jars saved from Frozen bottle ice cream cakes, and that helped me to give my Bionico that ramp ready look. After the layers were set up, I was going crazy with the photos, as the beauty was looking so pr...

Soya halwa

Soya halwa or Soyabean halwa, the name itself sounds so healthy and of course whoever would like to have a healthy version of halwa can give a try to this great dessert. I came across this guy very accidently, and if you guys remember my earlier post on Soya milk, this is where the secret talked about in that post getting uncovered. So anyone have any hunch? Ok let me reveal the truth. It was when I was about to throw away the remains of soya milk preparation, I noticed that what I am going to throw away isn't a waste, but having as much as nutrients in soya bean. What if I can preserve it for something, or is there any way I can make a recipe out of it. If you see recently I am doing lots of research on North Indian halwas. So when I say North Indian , it is very much different from Kerala style. What I feel is North Indian halwas are easy to make and doesn't have to be so much conscious about the 2 thread consistency and all, which we have to be very much careful in...
