Apple 🍎 cranberry cinnamon overnight oats

This is for all my health freak ladies out there. Don't think I m gender biased, but I usually feel like ladies would prefer such dishes than Men, as Men have their own way of keeping themselves healthy. We ladies are a little complicated, and we like complications in everything we do. We love to plan our healthy meals, cook ourselves, coz again good things never comes simply. Just like us ladies who are such wonderful things in this world and brought to this world with lot of complications for the poor simple Man to deal with :P Other part to why ladies like cooking themselves and eating is because of her trust issues ...lol. I bet an average woman brain would do at least 100 reasoning before she picks up what she wants, but a man again he trusts soon :D Jokes apart cooking food ourselves and having is such a satisfaction which you won't ever get in any store brought stuffs. It is the way to responsible cooking and eating too. But this new world is really fast, wh

Cheesy mushroom 🍄 peppers Bruschetta

Simple and humble recipe. This was on one of the weekends when I wanted to keep it healthy meal plan, but with a little interesting. Cheese has a very bad name in health industry I know, but poor cheese is such overrated in its contribution to harm health. It’s all about quantity limitations. Cheese is a good source of  lot of B vitamins and if taken in small quantities it is going to help your health; so don’t get scared by this poor thing.  I posted this Bruschetta pics on Insta with a title , who told I don’t eat cheese, because of that reason. So guys spoil yourself sometimes in cheese and keep your mind and health happy 😃 Ingredients: Bread  Mushroom 🍄 - 1/2 cup chopped Peppers green and red - 1/4 cup chopped Cheese grated - 1 to 2 tsp Powders: Pepper - 1/4 tsp Paprika  - 1/4 tsp Onion  - 1/2 tsp Garlic  - 1/2 tsp Pink salt  - 1/4 tsp Method: Toast bread 🍞 both sides. Chicken and Cottage cheese coriander steak with roasted veggies

My family is pure meat eaters. They can start eating meat right from the bed, from breakfast to dinner. We are even much crazy sometimes when we go out late night and hog on meats from fast foods open through out the night and mobile food vans. I wonder how our digestive system would be cursing us for it, but looks like it is in our Mallu genes to take care of that :D Yes this is Kerala, where everyone knows a Malayali can get a meat cravings attack anytime...yes anytime :) My boys had a heavy lunch from outside (without me), yeah that happens too when 2 of them ditch me and gang up. I unaware of all facts thought to prepare a full protein exciting dish for them, put together this, all meaty, veggie, dairy extravaganza. They were planning to skip the dinner, and I was upset about it thinking through my effort.  But I had faith in my dish and also the Mallu blood, which can jump on this when they see it out from oven. And I would say, it was literally JUMPING on it. I

Vegetable Biriyani - An unsual one!

So let me be open here, the plan was not to make biriyani at all, just the ingredients are put together and finally thought why not biriyani. There is a reason behind this biriyani though. Very lately I have seen many people say there is nothing called Veg biriyani, it should be always meat, and height of it was not even Chicken is considered to be the right partner of Biriyani, it is Mutton..Ahh...a person with red meat allergy will understand the pain behind it. I have made chicken biriyani in many different flavors in past, so I didn't want to prove about that recipe. Being a food blogger I am responsible to help Veg biriyani here getting such a ashame :P All these are reason for this not so usual veg biriyani. I wanted to make it a special, not the usual boring vegetable biriyani types and hence there are a lot of process I has to follow. Just like meat is marinated and shallow fried before putting in the biriyani, I used the same process for my veggies Eg

Tuna flakes Toast

I am a Tuna lover from the time I started eating fish, and it is not too late. My mom says I used to pick fish and eat at my 8 months of age. So early right, yeah I am from a fish eating family. Also being a Malayali, it is our staple food. My memories about Tuna growing up is the biscuit sized pieces my mom used to fry and give and the cubes of tuna in  hot spicy sour coconut gravy, oh no I am drooling thinking about it now. Knowledge about Canned Tuna is that I lately developed by watching international cuisines. At first I was not able to accept Tuna in that form, because it is no more Mommy's cubed tuna. Finally I thought I will give it a try, and first time I tried it on my business trip to US, where I made a Tuna salad, and I fell in love with it. Realized Tuna is in all ways awesome :) This time I thought what about using it in a sandwich. I cannot call this Tuna sandwich, but a toast loaded with sauteed Tuna, with green peas and tomatoes, lettuce to ho

Hummus

By now you would know my love for dips, sauces and spreads. This one has topped my favorites list now, very easy to make and I can challenge any store brought dip which can compete with my home made Hummus.  The name of this dish is so evidently calling it out as a middle eastern dish, but before claiming that I thought to do a research in google to find the origin of this one, basically a peek into its bloodline. Then I got to understand there is equal confusion in google too, as many of them claim this gorgeousness to be part of their family. As of today the claimers are Greek and Arabs. A fact study is  more promising to Egypt though.  So enough of history, I am not the best person in History as I remember how hard I was making sure to score marks for History in my schooling days. The recipe is quite simple and highlight is its 100% homemade. When I say that I mean to say that the Tahini which went inside is also made at home by me :P  This is a great dip for anythin
